Paul Hendy MDIA
I have been interested in design and construction for many years and originally studied Art and Design in the UK. This lead me to specialise in Industrial Design, graduating with a BA degree in 1984. I worked for 10 years in conjunction with ACP, a London based architectural company where I completed numerous industrial design commissions and my design and manufacturing knowledge merged with architecture on projects like Heathrow Terminal 3, London and Derriford District Hospital, Devon.
I emigrated to the Southern Hemisphere in 2001 and undertook a Master of Architecture degree at the University of Adelaide for 3 years where I graduated in 2008 having achieved 6 awards including the Architects Board of South Australia Travel Award and Boral’s Construction Award.
I am passionate about improving the efficiency and sustainability of both new and existing buildings while ensuring that architectural creativity and originality are maintained to create inspiring spaces and a suitable environment for future generations. I also enjoy teaching and regularly tutor at the University of Adelaide helping to create a link between the profession and the next generation of architects.

Brett AylenMy passion for architecture started in the late 1980’s and after graduating with an Architectural Studies degree from Adelaide Uni in 1991 I spent four years traveling and working abroad. Living and working in Berlin in 1994 and 1995 was like being a journeyman apprentice.
On return to Australia in 1996 I felt the need for trade experience and explored working with my hands for 6 years on projects ranging from sculpting to boat building, carpentry to construction management. I returned to the academic study of architecture at UniSA graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2004.
I then worked for Energy Architecture, an Adelaide firm dedicated to sustainable architecture. My project experience there included many private residences, sales and information centers for the housing developments at Lochiel Park on the Torrens River and at Beyond Today in Port Elliot, multi million dollar extensions to the Glenelg Golf Club and a series of architecturally designed project homes. I gained registration as an Architect with the Architects Board of SA in early 2008.
